Gale Force Dance is happy to host the first annual Ballet in the Bluegrass, an outdoor celebration of dance, summertime, and our beautiful landscape! This year, Gale Force Dance presents Happy Dance, a family friendly professional performance of ballet, contemporary dance, tap, and fire spinning! Happy Dance will express all of the good things in life--alternatingly exuberant, languorous, and playful. We know that when you get good news or achieve a goal, you have your own happy dance—we are going to make you want to get out of your seat and dance for joy!
There will be two showings of Happy Dance at Ballet in the Bluegrass:
July 27 at the Paddock at the Woodford Inn, at 8:00 pm. Relax at this renowned Versailles, KY, establishment with excellent food and drink. Admittance is $15/adult, $5/child at the gate.
August 3 at Ward Oates Amphitheatre in Frankfort, KY, at 8:00 PM. Bring a picnic blanket or camp chairs, and enjoy the offerings of food trucks on site. GALE FORCE DANCE
Gale Force Dance is an eclectic and beautiful group of professional dancers who perform high quality, original, delightful dance in a variety of genres including but not limited to: ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, and circus arts.
The mission of Gale Force Dance is to bring joy through performance art to people of all walks of life. One of the qualities that makes Gale Force Dance extra special is that we have a wide range of age, body type, and style of dancer; we believe this makes our presentations easier for the audience to relate to and appreciate.
We are especially excited when we get to introduce dance to audiences who have not experienced live performance, and so our programs are designed to be easily accessible and pleasurable to watch. Even so, our dancers’ superb technique developed through rigorous training as well as our original choreography make our programs a delight also for those within the dance industry.

Valentine's Day 2019
Treat your sweetie to the most decadent artistic sight in town. Gale Force Dance presents “Beautiful Bodies,” a celebration of the human form and all of the love it contains. Regional professional performers of ballet, contemporary dance, modern dance, opera, circus arts, tap dance, and magic bring their beautiful bodies—of many different types, sizes, and qualities—as their means of expressing the emotion and soul at the core of their being, with special attention to the affection and intimacy between men and women whose bodies meet and complement each other in magical ways. Enjoy well-known love songs and a wine bar! Run time is an hour and twenty minutes, allowing plenty of time for a romantic dinner in a downtown Frankfort restaurant before or after the show. Reserve your seats at www.grandtheatrefrankfort.com
Gale Force Dance performers use movement to celebrate all of the good things in life, alternatingly exuberant, languorous, and playful. Happy Dance is a family friendly celebration staged outdoors in the beautiful fresh air of Central Kentucky. We know that when you get good news or achieve a goal, you have your own happy dance—we are going to make you want to get out of your seat and dance for joy! A preshow will highlight local dance students.
