We at FSB are interviewing highly qualified and experienced dance educators to join our faculty. If you or anyone you know is interested in a position at a well-established, growing studio, please email a resume and brief statement of intention to email@example.com. At this time, FSB is most interestedly seeking instructors of ballroom, baton, and hip hop. If teachers of other genres seem to be the perfect fit for us, we may also add faculty of Contemporary, Ballet, Acro, Tap, and Jazz, as well as of Youth Combination classes.
We have room on our schedule to add a Dance Team Prep and a Majorette Prep class, which we expect will be well appreciated by teenagers in Franklin County. We also would like to start hosting Ballroom classes on Friday nights, followed by Date Night Dance Parties.
For over 20 years, the Frankfort School of Ballet has had an excellent reputation for imparting proper dance technique in a caring, encouraging environment. Each year, we present a professional-quality Nutcracker (4 show times) and Spring Showcase (2 show times), which sell out so consistently that we are intending to present more show times this year, as well as adding additional programs at other times of the year. Our pre-professional students achieve acceptance to nationally recognized Summer Intensive programs such as Joffrey Ballet, Georgia Dance Theatre, and Cincinnati Ballet, as well as being cast in other institutions’ performances. Some of our students go on to teach and perform professionally, including some who accomplish teaching dance as full-time careers. Our youth program for dancers age 18 months to 8 years has been carefully developed as a magically special experience, informed by scientific and experiential knowledge of child development and education.
The most special aspect of FSB is its loving, family-like atmosphere. Our faculty and staff conscientiously model kindness and integrity, guiding our dancers to be responsible and respectful. We do not take our dancers to competitions, focusing instead on the artistic, expressive, collaborative nature of dance. Some of our students began dancing with FSB when they were 1 year old and have continued with us until leaving for college 17 years later. Our students develop strongly bonded friendships and daily encourage and support each other in a way that warms my heart and brings them joy.
If you are interested in applying for a position at FSB, please send in your resume as soon as possible. In your brief statement of intention, please tell me which of your qualities and interests you believe would make you a good fit with FSB. I am very much looking forward to meeting more dance educators in the area!
